Farmers in India have been celebrating after the prime minister Narendra Modi announced he would repeal three contentious farm laws known as the “black laws”.
After a year of protests in インド where hundreds of thousands of farmers marched to Delhi’s borders, Modi announced on Friday: “We have decided to repeal all three farm laws. We will start the constitutional process to repeal all the three laws in the parliament session that starts at the end of this month.”
